At Bon Accord Community School, we strive to provide opportunities for students to engage in authentic learning experiences that connect them to their communities as well as take responsibility for their own learning. As action to this mission we will be offering a Recreation Academy option to our grade 4 students.
The goal of the Recreation Academy is to help students explore the importance of life-long fitness and empower them to actively pursue a life-style of positive, personal wellness. By exposing students to a wide range of recreational activities in their own community and regularly scheduled information seminars at school, students are afforded many opportunities to grow in all dimensions: gaining nutritional awareness, knowledge of functional fitness and the importance of a balanced lifestyle to achieve optimal health.
We are offering the program to students at the lowest cost possible to provide equal opportunity and access to all families.
